We're working on some useful new features suggested by users.
In no particular order:
- Import/Export lists: Import a study list into Headmagnet via a CSV or Excel file, or export it from Headmagnet. (Update: the list import feature is now available)
- More stats and new graphs: Be able to see projections on your estimated recall rate for individual study lists, study modes, and item level.
- Reminder Notifications and reports: Tell Headmagnet to notify you when you have a certain number of weak items, or if a certain study list's estimated recall rate decays below a certain percentage. Or, schedule a daily, weekly, or monthly email report that tells you what you know, what you've probably forgotten, and what you will likely forget by the next report.
- Groups and school/company accounts: We're still exploring these.
Please keep the suggestions and feedback coming in!
How can we make Headmagnet more useful to you? Please let us know!

Just saw headmagnet on http://lifehacker.com and looks good, but yeah, import/export is pretty must-have imho.

While you're working on import functionality, it'd be great if you could seamlessly import Anki (http://ichi2.net/anki/) data so that I could pick up with you right where I left off there!

CSV would be perfect for menus in applications!

How do we add open-ended questions that have multiple correct answers? For example, "What are your parents' names?" should allow "Mom" OR "Dad" as acceptable answers. This seems like basic functionality, how can we accomplish?

Is there any way to Merge lists (with same fields).
For example: I have created a few lists (Chapter 7, Chapter 8, etc) for one book, and I'd like to merge them into a longer list (Book 1, Chapters 7-10).
Possible to do online? (I can see a manual way to do with with the Import/export... )

There's no way to merge lists yet. One of the challenges is that lists may have different fields, as well as different study modes.
We've found that large monolithic lists get unwieldy, and have a lower success rate. I'd recommend having multiple separate smaller lists rather than a giant long list - it makes them easier to study, the system works faster, it's less intimidating, and you end up with a more accurate recall strength estimate for each study list.
Rather than adding a merging feature, we will be adding a grouping/folders feature where you can categorize, group, and organize separate study lists more easily, and be able to manage and study multiple grouped study lists as a unit.

Would like to be able to edit or suspend a card during the quiz. Also, an undo button or a back button would be helpful since the browser back button takes you out from the study mode. Adding a feature to specifically flag certain cards would be helpful and then be able to quiz yourself later from the flagged items. Would like to be able to change the font style, size, bold/italicize/underline, highlight... I appreciate the great work you've done thus far!

1. This is a great site, I found it yesterday and I hope I'll use it for a very long time.
2. The most important improvement for me would be the possibility to group lists. I am learning Spanish vocabulary lesson by lesson from one book, so it would be very nice to keep all the lists I create from this book somehow together.
3. It would be useful for me if there was a possibility to easily enter letters or symbols that are special and I do not have them on my keyboard while adding items to a list. As I said, I am learning Spanish and I cannot easily write "ñ", reversed question mark "¿" or reversed exclamation mark "¡". I would love to be able to enter these symbols into the system on one page (like a tab in preferences) and then when I'm adding items to a list where I need to use these symbols, I would see something like a virtual keyboard with these three symbols and insert them to the current field just by clicking on them. Right now, I have to have these symbols in a separate file and copy/paste them whenever I need which takes a lot of time and effort (for whatever reason, pressing Alt + the ASCII or UNICODE code of the symbol doesn't work for me when I am adding or editing items here on Headmagnet).
4. The ability to edit an item directly from when I study would be nice. When I see I made a typing error or something, I would prefer to correct it immediately.
5. Again: great site, thank you!

One more hint from me: you could consider making a smartphone (iPhone) friendly version for creating lists and studying.

CSV import/export is super important. Being able to import SQL databases would be great too.

I look forward to the ability to import.
The ability to add pictures or highlight items on the cards is a feature I could see having merit.

Two important things for me, and then I'll be using it loads for revision.
1) Multiple correct answers as suggested by David. In a vocab list, for instance, there may be multiple translations, and it would be nice if any of them were right.
2) Import/Export, as then I don't have to type out something already in an Excel file!

UNDO. Instead of removing one item from the list, I accidentally removed a field, which removed all the information from all 15 items in my list.....

There definitely should be a way to edit items while on a quiz. It's very inconvenient to have to open a new window and find the item in the list. Export feature would be great, but there should also be a way to look up the flash cards in a table format for quick reference (instead of having to go into the list and scroll through each one).

Autosave feature is great, but can be annoying since the site does not have a revision history and no way to revert changes. Either have a revision history and a way to revert or undo an action OR have some sort of preference to save/cancel changes.

Please take the time to create a Cascading Style Sheet for mobile users. Then your site would be perfect!
